The outer surface of a vehicle includes the engine hood, trunk lid, doors, spoilers, roof, lights and optical signaling devices, and visible structural protective components (such as bumpers or guards), which are subject to general and specific requirements for their various parts. The purpose of these requirements is to reduce the risk or severity of physical injury to a person who either collides with the vehicle body or is pulled underneath it during an accident. These features apply to both stationary and moving vehicles.
National Standard No. 6924, based on UNECE Regulation No. 26, specifies the requirements and characteristics of exterior projections for M1 category road vehicles (note that this standard does not apply to external indirect vision devices or towing hitch balls). The exterior projection standard is part of passive safety standards, which function at the moment of an accident and afterward. The purpose of conducting this test is to evaluate the features and conditions required in accordance with the requirements set forth in the aforementioned national standard.

Taraz Azmoon Tat Laboratory, relying on the knowledge and expertise of its experienced specialists and its up-to-date equipment, is capable of evaluating and validating these requirements for both imported and domestically manufactured vehicles.
    Test procedure:
To perform the test, the vehicle’s outer surfaces are examined using precise measuring equipment, and potential risk points are identified.
